Well it's been a while.

Well first off I am going to apologise for my lack of post and promise to do better. Been very very busy the last 3 months trying to make sure everything goes as planned. On to the good stuff.

Our weather has taken a wonderful turn for the better. Cooler temperatures have finally prevailed. For the next week the temperatures are not predicted to go over 83 degrees. That is going to feel great. No significant chances of rain in the forecast either so looks like we will be in for a great start to fall. There are big thinks that are looking like a possibility for me in the future regarding weather. Hopefully those things will work out and I will be able to reveal them at a later date. Also on a weather related note, Storm Chasers premeirs on October 13th on Discovery Channel. You will definetly wanna catch it if you are a weather geek like me.

Like I said earlier I will do my best to keep up with this and post a new entry every day. Take care of yourselves and have a great week. Also, deer season starts Friday so if you are going to be in the stand please be careful and take the proper safety precautions.

God Bless

Busy, Busy, Busy

God is so good. I feel like I can't say that enought. Sorry that it has been a while since I have last updated the blog, but we have been so busy. I am sure my buddies Travis and Korley have been worried sick about me. Not much to say about the weather here lately, been pretty tame. God on the other hand has been everything but. Our new nursery is going great so far. Sales are happening regularly and we are enjoying it and just really having a blast. God has given us a great oppurtunity to grow and learn together as business owners and as husband and wife. Just made a facebook page for the nursery tonight. Please get on there and search for McMullin Wholesale Nursery and please Like it. We will be updating what sales we have going on and much more. So please visit the page and if you need anything at all from the nursery or from our landscaping and lawncare business feel free to give me a call. 212-2659

Have a great night and God Bless

Life Changes & Weather

Wow I don't even know where to begin on this post. You may or may not know that today is my last day at the Jonesboro Fire Department. I have had a blast here and made some great friends who are just like family for me. But, God has opened another door for me and I have decided to take that leap of faith and walk through it. My wife and I will be running the nursery and our landscaping business full time now. One thing that constantly is on our minds is that if you give it all to the Lord he will provide and we surely have given it all to him and put it in his hands. We are very excited to start this new chapter in our lives and pray that it works out for the best, which we know that it will because God is an awesome God. So give us a call if you need anything plant wise at 212-2659.

Ok on to the weather. We have had a crazy couple of days here lately. Friday night produced 8 tornados in the Little Rock NWS coverage area and we are still waiting to hear from Memphis NWS to see if there was anything in NEA. Out of those 8 tornados, 1 was an EF-3 with up to a 30 mile track. Both Friday and Saturday night just as the storms reached NEA they became linear (formed a line) which saved NEA from the bulk of the worst weather. Both night there were very impressive super cells that moved across the state and cause alot of damage. Now focusing on Tennessee area for a minute. Nashville has seen the worst flood ever on record I believe. They shattered their previous 2 day rainfall record by almost double. Some of the video and pictures coming out of that area are unbelieveable. Also I tip my hat to the awesome, awesome job that Justin Logan and Ryan Vaughan done through the passing of these storms. Top notch meteorologist in my opinion and am very, very glad that they are our weather guys.

Goodnight and God Bless

Weather Update for Fri and Sat

First of all I want to throw a shout to Korley and let him know that I thank him for stopping by and reading the blog. The weather setup for this afternoon into tomorrow night is not looking good for NEA, but it is not in the worst area. The areas recieving the worst weather should be south and east of the Paragould/Jonesboro area. Now with that being said that does not mean that we will not see any bad weather but the chances are not as good for us. Right now there are already tornado warnings out in central Arkansas. Here is the lastest update from Memphis NWS:

MAJOR SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK EXPECTED TONIGHT AND AGAIN ON
SATURDAY...

A WARM...MOIST...AND VERY UNSTABLE AIRMASS IS IN PLACE OVER THE MID
SOUTH. THE UNSTABLE AIRMASS IN COMBINATION WITH INCREASING WIND
SHEAR IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP AND PERSIST ACROSS THE MID SOUTH TONIGHT.
ANY THUNDERSTORM THAT BECOMES SEVERE WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO
CONTAIN DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL AND STRONG TORNADOES. SOME
TORNADOES MAY OCCUR DURING THE NIGHTTIME HOURS WHEN THE DANGERS OF
TORNADOES ARE INCREASED.

AN INCREASED THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXISTS ON SATURDAY AS
A RAPIDLY STRENGTHENING SURFACE LOW TRACKS FROM SOUTH TEXAS TO
SOUTHERN INDIANA. A MAJOR SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK IS EXPECTED TO
UNFOLD SATURDAY MORNING ACROSS MOST OF THE MID SOUTH. THE BEST CHANCE
OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY WILL BE ALONG AND EAST OF THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER. EVEN STRONGER WIND SHEAR AND A CONTINUATION OF
UNSTABLE CONDITIONS COULD PRODUCE STRONG TORNADOES...LARGE
HAIL...AND WIDESPREAD WIND DAMAGE. FLASH FLOODING WILL ALSO BE
POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS AND A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 7 AM SATURDAY UNTIL 7 PM SATURDAY FOR THE ENTIRE MID SOUTH.

THE BEST WINDOW FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE FROM NOW UNTIL MIDNIGHT
AND FROM 6 AM TO 4 PM SATURDAY.

RESIDENTS OF THE MID SOUTH SHOULD PREPARE FOR SEVERE WEATHER AND
STAY ABREAST OF THE LATEST FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS REGARDING THIS
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS WEATHER SITUATION. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A
WEATHER RADIO...THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO PURCHASE ONE. IN ADDITION...
YOU SHOULD REVIEW SEVERE WEATHER SAFETY RULES...KNOW THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN A WATCH AND A WARNING...AND BE READY TO PUT YOUR SAFETY PLANS
INTO ACTION SHOULD SEVERE WEATHER THREATEN YOUR AREA.

It is a potentially dangersous situation for the rest of today and into tomorrow. I will update periodically as the storms near.

Getting Closer

Well we are one step close to owning our dream today. The Lord is so great and has blessed my family so much. We are hoping to let the cat out of the bag by this weekend and close on the business by the end of next week. There are big, big changes ahead for me and my family. They are slightly scary changes, but I know God will take us by the hand and lead us through to where he wants to be. If you put it all in his hands, he will provide. Working hard toward finishing this and starting a new chapter in our lives. Stay tuned and God Bless.

God is Great!

The title pretty much sums it all up. God is so great. Kayla and I have been working on something big for a couple of weeks now and hopefully it is about to come true. We have been praying night and day and putting all in God's hands in order to get the answer and the path that he wants us to take. Hopefully in the next couple of days I can reveal what we have been working on and show to the world what God has provided us through prayer. That brings me to a simple question for you, the reader. Do you put all your problems and dreams in God's hands. He has been so helpful to us and he can be to each of you who do not take everything in your life and place it in God's hands. It's going to be a very busy week for us as we continue to try to catch up on our landscaping and lawn care jobs and deal with our big opportunity and get it taken care of and everything completed. God is so great. More info will be coming later as the finishing touches are done and all papers are signed. God Bless.

Who do you go to about your decisions.

This little message just hit me while sitting here watching TV and the Lord is pressing on me to write about it. Who do you go to when you have a decision to make. Whether it be a big life changing decision or a small day to day decision, who's hands do you put that decision in. Do you go to God and ask for guidance or do you just mull it over for a few minutes and then pick something and go with it. Going to the Lord with a decision that is facing you is the best way to recieve the right answer. Though it may not be an immediate answer, it will be the correct answer. Take the weight of that decision off of your shoulders and put that weight in God's hands. Through him all things are possible and the best possible place that you could put anything is in his hands. So the next time you have a decision that is weighing you down and bumming you out, tell it to the pull and let him make that decision for you. He will put you on the right path and give you the best answer to that decision. Have a great night and God Bless.
