Busy, busy, busy

Been a very busy couple of days for me. Landscaping and lawncare is really picking up right now and it is almost more than me and my wife can handle. On to other things. In case some of you might be hiding under a rock this weekend is Easter. Please remember what it is about and what it symbolises and means. Jesus died for us and then rolled away the stone and rose again so He can come back and get us Christians and take us home. That had way to many us's in it but I digress. Please say a little prayer and if you don't visit a church regularly please make it a point to go to one on Sunday and have a little talk with the Lord. It will change you life, I promise. Ok on to weather now. A very promising setup is in the works for the mid-west on Thursday and Friday. It is shaping up to be the opener of 2010 Storm Season. Here in NEA it looks like we should get about a 1/4 to a 1/2 an inch of rain on Saturday, but the 18Z GFS is showing a good possibility of severe weather next Wednesday into Thursday with Cape values at 1000+. It may be NEA's first real chase setup of the season. With that I will leave you with this thought: Are you going to tell Jesus thanks on Sunday for all that He has done for you.

Sunday: Gods Day

Well it has been a wonderful Sunday so far. Church was great this morning and lunch was not to shabby afterwards. Thankfully no were no severe weather reports in NEA from last night, but instread just a good solid rain. This afternoon though has kept me on my toes. I had a coach's meeting for Coach Pitch baseball, checked on my chickens to make sure they were doing well, and now in the process of giving Macie Copeland a Hunters Education Test. All in all it has been a great day full of God and family. Tomorrow starts a new work week in which hopefully we will get caught up on alot of our landscaping and lawn care stuff giving that the weather is supposed to be beautiful all week. But, it is a week out, severe weather looks to make its grand entrance on Easter Weekend. Don't know for sure yet if we will see any here in NEA but we will see as the time gets closer. So enjoy the next week and God Bless.

Once again it looks like Mother Nature looks like she will prove me wrong. Looks like the storms will hold together as they enter NEA but the chances of a tornado are very minimal. Anything is possible but very likely no warnings will be issued. As I contiue to look at these storms I think that this will be mainly a wind event. You should expect very strong winds on the front end of these storms. There is a decent chance of hail in all of these storms but it looks as if the larger hail will stay to the south of us with NEA only looking at about 3/4 of an inch max on the hail. Tune in to Kait for weather cut in's from Justin Logan.

Saturday Night Outlook

As storms have fired throughout the afternoon, they look to be heading into North East Arkansas early this evening. While I do not think that we will see anything severe here in NEA there is still a possibility. The dew points have made it into the 50's here which could supply enough moisture to sustain a storm if they hold together long enough. There is not alot to these storms so I think that when it gets dark and we loose our daytime heating we will lose our convection and just see mainly a rain event with maybe some lightning and thunder. But, like I said this is just me talking. Will update again as the storms make it closer to here. Just as I am about to end this, one cell just south of Russelville looks to be forming a nice hook.

First Blog Ever

I really have no idea what I am doing but here is my very first blog. Decided to start a blog on a SPC slight risk day on top of that. Storms have started to fire in the area of NW Arkansas ahead of a cold front that is moving in from the West. Live streamers are out in full force across the slight risk area and you can watch some of them at http://www.tornadovideos.net/ There may not be much of an outbreak today though due to low dewpoints. Stay tuned to my blog and to Ryan Vaughan's blog for more info. His blog is at http://www.ryansmorningblog.blogspot.com/.

The dewpoints are the numbers in green.
